I’ve recently had to move to a smaller home, because the financial crisis has hit me… well… financially. While this is kind of a setback for me, I am making use of this situation to cut my costs and to become a little more aware of my own spending habits. I still want to enjoy the many hours of time that modern technology can save me, but at the same time I want to make sure I don’t waste too much electricity doing so. For that reason, I’ve decided to trade in my large, old fashioned condenser tumble dryer machine for a much smaller one that uses less energy and is more environmentally friendly!

There are a lot more large, conventional tumble dryers than there are smaller, more compact ones. But luckily, they do exist! One such machine is the Excel 110v Portable Clothes Tumble Dryer. I have recently purchased this off the web and it was quickly delivered to me. The installation of this condenser tumble dryer was very easy because it’s just so small and light. It literally is portable. You could take this thing with you on vacation if you really wanted to. You can connect it to a regular power outlet instead of a high voltage one. It uses less power and therefore takes longer to dry clothes. But for me, it is worth it.

Because of its size, it also takes smaller loads of clothes. I am currently living by myself so I’m okay with it. Whenever I need some clothes dry right now, I will put them in and have them dry and warm not longer than 90 minutes later. Despite its compact size and lower power usage, this portable condenser tumble dryer manages to get great results that are on par with what I’ve seen from larger ones.

This little dryer doesn’t need to be vented so that makes it easy to use. I’ve installed this thing in my closet and it runs for an hour without causing any problems at all. You do need to take into account that this condenser tumble dryer appliance requires no less than 4 inches of space between the wall and the hot air exhaust. Otherwise it cannot function properly. But even with those 4 added inches at the back, this compact machine still doesn’t take up a lot of space. I recommend this dryer for everybody who wants to keep things simple and low cost.
